I and 20 students, 1 lecturer from National University, Malaysia, and 4 peoples from Surveying Department of Selangor, Malaysia saw the hilal of Dhul-Qa'dah 1424 H on 24/12/2003, Wednesday, from 7:51 pm to 7:57 pm in partly cloudy skies.

I saw the hilal on 24/12/2003, Wednesday, from 7:30 pm to 7:35 pm in partly cloudy skies.

I and 13 friends saw the hilal on 24/12/2003, from 7:40 pm to 7:45 pm in partly cloudy skies.

We at Karachi University observatory Started to search for the crescent through 6' code' Refractor Telescope at 5:00 p.m. (50 minutes before sunset. We set the telescope on the moons coordinates (Dec -27 deg. R.A 19 Hrs 15 min). Visibility conditions were not encouraging due to pollution cloud and dusty atmosphere. The crescent was barely visible through the telescope only 2 minutes before local sunset (5:50 p.m.). We followed the crescent till 6:30 p.m. when it faded into the polltuion cloud. The crescent was NOT visible to naked eye at any time.

In Kuwait on Wednesday 24 Dec 2003, I sighted the crescent ( with a group of seven persons) as follows:
Venus seen at 16:44 (just at the arrival to site )
Crescent seen with bino at 16:55
Our local sunset at 16:56
Crescent seen with naked eyes at 17:06
Last sighting with naked eyes at 17:45
Last seen with bino at 17:58 (the crescent disappeared in the glare of flood light in the area )
Moon set at 17:58 .

I tried to observe the Hilal on Wednesday, 24th December, 2003 after sunset. Due to the cloud and haze on the horizon, I could not see the Hilal.

Three of us sighted the moon outside Damascus Wednesday at 4:58 p.m. at an altitude of ~5 to 6 degrees.
