The Astronomical New Moon (conjunction) is on March 9, 2016 (Wednesday) at 1:54 UT. On March 9, there is very good chance of sighting in Caribbean Islannds, and USA. On March 10, the moon can be seen in the whole world (See visibility curves).
The earliest reported sighting of the new crescent was on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from Orlando, FL, USA.
March 9, 2016 (Wednesday):

On Wednesday 9th March, 2016, the crescent was not seen in Barbados due to overcast conditions but Crescent was SEEN in neighboring island of GRENADA.Sighted at approximately 6:30 p.m. Barbados time (UTC 22:30). This meant we had 29 days of Jumada-al-Oola. Insha'Allah The 1st of Jumada-at-Thania will be on Thursday 10th March 2016.
Local Sunset time for Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for March 9 2016 was 6.01 pm EST. Due to overcast skies this evening no moonsighting was possible with the unaided eye or binoculars. Sighting location: Mud Lake (near Britannia water filtration plant). Temperature: 10°C

The moon for the Jumaadal- al- Thani has not been seen On Wednesday 9 March 2016, in tiny island of Zanzibar, condition was hazy and it was raining. Jumaada al-Thaani 1st 1437 AH will be Friday, March 11th 2016.

The crescent moon for the month of Jumada al-Thani 1437 AH was looked for after the sunset of Wednesday 9th March 2016 but was not seen. However, We have accepted sighting reports from all committees locally and regional and have declared that the month of Rabi Al-Akhar 1437 AH will complete 29 days and the first day of Jumada al-Thani 1437 AH will be the day of Thursday 10th March 2016.

This evening (Wednesday, March 09), the crescent moon was sighted in Blacksburg, VA (Lat: 37° 15' 40" N, Lng: 80° 26' 56" W, and elevation: 646 meters). I arrived at my sighting location (the Blacksburg Middle School) at 6:07 pm EST (sunset: 6:23 pm). Using a pair of binoculars (7X50), I started scanning the partly cloudy western horizon. Soon, my friend joined me (he was using a pair of 10x50 binoculars). Our first binocular sighting was at 6:38 pm. It took us two more minutes to see a very thin crescent with naked eyes. The horns were at about 3:30 and 6:30 O'clock (3:30;5:00;6:30). Later, another friend joined us. He too was able to sight the moon through the 10x50 binoculars an with naked eyes. At 7:05 pm the moon disappeared behind clouds, about 2 degrees above the horizon (moonset: 7:22 pm). At 6:35 pm, the temperature, dew point, relative humidity, and pressure were 66.4 F, 50.4 F, 56%, and 30.20 in, respectively.

On Wed Mar 09, 2016, I was able to sight the new crescent at about 6:13 pm, in Irvine, Ca. It was very clear and about 8 degrees above the horizon. The tips of the crescent were pointing to 2 O'clock and 8 O'clock.

n Thursday, March 10, the crescent was not sighted in Melbourne due to rain but was sighted in Brisbane this evening, therefore the 1st day of Jumadil-Akhir 1437 is Friday, the 11th of March, 2016.

Although the weather conditions in some states were overcast but the Hilal of Jamaadiyul Ukhraa has been sighted in Brisbane on Thursday, March 10. Therefore the month of Jamaadiyul Ukhraa will commence from Friday, March 11, 2016.

Due to full cloud cover, new moon could not be sighted in Sydney. Due to Rain it was also not sighted in Melbourne.
The crescent was sighted in Brisbane this evening, therefore the 1st day of Jumadil-Akhir 1437 is Friday, the 11th of March, 2016.

Today Thursday 10th of March 2016, in Sydnet, we were not able to see the crescent even through the binoculars, because of the thick clouds in the moonset area. We kept looking for 40 minutes but unfortunately the weather didn't change at all through this time.

On Thursday, Mar 10th, crescent was SEEN at 18:02 . By the grace of Allah, I managed to sight the crescent. Apparent sunset was at 18:00, and the crescent first appeared at 18:02.

The NEW MOON for the MONTH OF JAMAAD UL AKHIR 1437 HAS BEEN SIGHTED TONIGHT Thursday 10 March 2016 in Mauritius. Sunset was at 18hrs29 . Moonset was at 19hrs 39. First reported Visibility at 18hrs48 at Bagatelle.
Friday, 11 March 2016 will be the 1st day of Jamaad Ul Akhir 1437. The sky was partly cloudy. Moon was sighted in several localities (Le Morne, Bagatelle, St Martin) by members of Jummah Masjid Hilaal Committee.

I was able to sight the new crescent of Joumada II, 1437 after Maghrib of Thursday 10 March 2016 in Rabat, Morocco.
The crescent was very visible with naked eyes at 19:00 and the crescent horns were from 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock. the sun set was at 18:32.

Today 10-3-2016AD=29-5-1437AH is the sighting day for the month of Jumadassaniyah. I was in Jaffna and the crescent was sighted by me and in
kinniya,Weligama,Galle. I sighted just immediately after Sunset which was 6:22pm. The altitude was 16degrees and the horns was 4 to 9
o'clock. Hence it was decided to end the proceeding month 29day's and to start the month of Jumadassaniyah on 11-3-2016 by the president C.G.M.H.C. M.Riyadh (Baari) along with A.C.J.U.and M.R.C.A.
