As expected, I was able to view the New ZilQada crescent as soon as I arrived at 6:48pm, with my bare eyes, before Sunset. From the clarity of the crescent, I could guess that this crescent could have easily been seen as early as 6:38pn had I arrived sooner. Sunset today in Irvine was at 6:55pm. The tips of the crescent were pointing to 2 O'clock and 6 O'clock. I have attached pictures taken at 6:50pm, 6:54pm and 7:08pm.
