Al urjoonul qadeem of Dhul-Qi'dah 1443: June 28 & June 27, 2022
MCW member AR Sugeng Riyadi, Surakarta, Java reported: The old crescent of Zulqi'dah 1443 AH was sighted and captured on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from Rowasiya Observatory at Bendo Ketitang Juwiring Klaten Central Java Indonesia. The sky was clear.

New Crescent Moon of Dhul-Hijjah 1443:
The Astronomical New Moon (conjunction) is on June 29, 2022 (Wednesday) at 2:52 UT.
On June 29, the moon may be seen by binoculars in Caribbean Islands, USA and Central America. On June 29 it can be seen easily in Hawaii. On June 30, it can be seen in almost the whole world (See visibility curves).
The earliest reported sighting of the new crescent was on Wednesday, June 29 2022 from Bridgetown, Barbados.

I tried to see Hilal from Jama Masjid in Bridgetown, Barbados on Wednesday, 29th June 2022. Crescent WAS SEEN (in the region). Therefore we will have 29 days of Dhul- Qidah. The 1st of Dhul-Hijjah will be on Thursday 30th June, 2022.

No Seen. I tried to sight the moon from sunset at 9:03 and for about 35 minutes. I also used binoculars. The moonset was at 10:02PM which gave me good amount of time for moon above horizon after sunset. I was not able to see the moon.

The new moon for Zul Hijja was seen in Guyana today Wednesday, 29th June, 2022. It was thus announced that Eid ul Adha will be observed on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

The new crescent of Dzulhijjah 1443 AH was not seen even by telescope due to low altitude of the hilal and clouds, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from Assalaam Observatory at PPMI Assalaam, Pabelan Kartasura Sukoharjo Central Java Indonesia. The west horizon was very clear with thin cloudy.
According to the neo-mabims criterion (alt 3� and elongation 6� 24') the Itsbat Coucil by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia declare that the 1st of Dzulhijjah 1443 AH will start on Friday, July 01, 2022. Eid-al-Adha will be on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

The crescent moon was seen tonight, June 29, 2022, from Mount Wilson Observatory, California. It was first seen with 10x42 binoculars
at 8:21 pm at an altitude of 7.2 degrees and photographed at 8:31 with a 300mm lens. The horns were at the 3:30 and 7:30 positions. The arc was continuous, but with two bright areas seen in an 80mm spotting scope. It was observed and photographed until 8:37 pm as it settled close to some foreground trees. The crescent was never easy to see. I was barely able to detect it against the orange sky with the naked eye. The weather conditions were 69� F and 47% humidity. The sky was clear of clouds, but slightly hazy. Local sunset was 8:08 pm and moonset was 9:07.

This evening (Wednesday, June 29, 2022), the crescent moon was sighted in Blacksburg, VA (Lat: 37� 15' 40" N, Lng: 80� 26' 56" W, and elevation: 646 meters). I arrived at my sighting location at 8:36 pm EDT (apparent sunset: 8:36 pm). The western horizon was partly cloudy and very hazy. Using a pair of binoculars (7X50), I started looking for the crescent. The first binocular sighting was at around 9:12 pm. The crescent was very thin; while I could follow it for several minutes, I was unable to see it with naked eye with my brief attempts. The binocular sighting continued till shortly before 9:30 pm when the crescent was approaching the horizon. By the time I relocated to a close by spot to avoid tree interference, I could not see it further. Perhaps it disappeared behind the distant mountains (actual moonset: 9:47 pm). The horns were approximately at 3:00 and 7:00 O'clock (3:00;5:00;7:00). I left the site at 9:38 pm. At 9:15 pm, the temperature, dew point, relative humidity, and pressure were 76 F, 66 F, 71%, and 30.31 in, respectively.

I went to watch the Hilal yesterday June 29 but it was cloudy. Today, June 30, Alhamdullelah, it was clear and I could sight the moon. I went to Knight Bridge that connects Vancouver to Richmond. I was there around 9:20 pm as I recall. I waited for around 10 mins and the moon appeared at 2 o�clock and 7 o�clock. I waited for 10-15 mins for it to be visible in camera to take the pictures (not used here).

On June 30,2022 the new Crescent has been sighted with naked eye in China. I shooted some pictures used by Nikon P900. ( Latitude35�35'N, Longitude 103�11'E ), sunset time is 20:30, the altitude of moon is 7�, the azimuth is 286�, The Illumination was about 2%.

Last night, Wed. Jun 29th, the crescent width observed from Cairo or anywhere in its vicinity was less than 7 arcseconds, at apparent sunset (19:00). The apparent arc of vision was only around 7�. The apparent lunar altitude was less than 3� at best time (19:17). Such conditions do not allow a naked eye sighting at near sea-level elevations.
tonight Thursday, June 30th, I arrived at my observation point at the 6. October Shooting club (30.00�N, 30.948�E) some 15 minutes before apparent sunset (19:01). There was no sign of the Moon, until I left for Maghreb prayers (19:06). It did not appear until after Maghreb prayers. It first appeared at ~19:23:05. It was still visible at 19:46, the time of writing. The temperature, pressure and relative humidity were 32�C, 993.2 mb, and 38%, respectively.

Today 29th of Dhul_Quidha (June 30, 2022) evening the new Moon of Dhul_Hijjah 1443 been sighted in many places in the country (Sri Lanka). Hence, the Colombo Grand Mosque Hilal Committee declared that the first day of Dhul_Hijjah will start on Friday, 1st of July 2022 InShaAllah. The Sri Lankan Muslims will be celebrating Eid_Ul_Adha on 10th of July 2022 (Sunday) in Sri Lanka.
